About Row House
Row House is a New Way to Publish
Row House Publishing offers an equitable publishing model that represents the values and diversity of the authors and audience we embrace.
Row House Publishing is a disruptive publishing company offering a new, transparent, and equitable model to publish books, media, and digital “edutainment” in the spaces of wellness, community, health, psychology, memoir, politics, spirituality, children’s and young adult literature, parenting, business, romance, fantasy, LGBTQIA+, and other genres honoring and authored by marginalized peoples.
From the outset, Row House Publishing has been a revolutionary model building a community of authors from diverse backgrounds committed to supporting each other and imprints that celebrate a wide range of genres: award-winning non-fiction titles at Row House Publishing; children’s and young adult literature at Wheat Penny Press and 100 Block Futures; humor and fantasy at 100 Block by Row House; inclusive romance at Generous Press; and tools for small businesses and entrepreneurs at small.
We live at the intersection of Literature and Social Justice.

A Better Model for a Changing Culture
In 2020, it became clear that there is currently no personal development publisher who is equally committed to supporting authors while also honoring antiracist and inclusive principles.
As a mentor with the US Diverse Wisdom initiative at Hay House, Row House Publishing founder Rebekah Borucki saw first-hand how modern, traditional publishing struggles with building equity and alignment with diverse authors. Amongst the larger publishers, this has become even more critical.
Row House Publishing has created a new model, one that supports authors from diverse backgrounds—ethnic, racial, economic, orientation, and identification—from day one.
A more generous advance allows authors to launch their book platform while being coached by Row House Publishing’s team on building community, leveraging social media, creating content, and growing earned media in both traditional and digital markets.
Unlike traditional publishers that often take an outsider approach, Row House Publishing uses their large social media reach to support authors in organically developing their audiences and growing their platforms to deliver their books to the people who want and need them most.
Row House Publishing has also built (and is consistently growing) a community of authors committed to supporting each other and growing the ranks of diverse authors, from personal development to adult trade to children’s literature.
An “Authors First” Approach
Row House Publishing is committed to putting authors first—both in how we support and prepare authors in the editorial, marketing, and sales of their books as well as through equitable and transparent financial agreements.
